The new Comscore Italia report, published on December 4th, shows that the fruition of the online information is massively moving on mobile devices with important implications on both the relationship with the readers and the monetization issue. In particular, Citynews (that includes Today.it and 45 online local magazines) achieves the “pole position” with 21.981.000 monthly unique users followed by Repubblica.it which reaches 21.978.000 monthly unique users.
Analysing the audience of the first 10 Italian newspapers websites, it is obvious that the 83% of users surf the Internet through a mobile device while a very little percentage use the mobile apps.
